Nikkei Business Daily out of Japan reported today that Kaz Hirai Will be taking over as President of Sony (via Engadget). The report indicates that as early as April, Hirai will take over the role currently occupied by Howard Stringer, who will maintain a position as CEO and chairman of the board. Hirai has been with the company since 1984 and was influential in the success of the Playstation brand. Last year he was promoted to the position of consumer products chief. For now Sony will not confirm the announcement, but it is expected to take place in the near future. If not, Sony could always offer me a job... in my dreams.
