NWS: Tornado touched down in Accomack

ACCOMACK, va. (WAVY) - The National Weather Service reports that a tornado has touched down in Accomack County in the Quinby area.

At around 1:34 p.m. Emergency Management reported damage in the Chase Crossing area. The tornado was located six miles south of Olney and nine miles northeast of Exmore and was moving south at 10 mph, according to a severe weather statement from the National Weather Service.

A spokeswoman for the Virginia Sate Police tells WAVY.com that no injuries have been reported. There are also no reports of property damage.
